About John Drewry Mays of Rockbridge County, Virginia
Please sign in to see more.
John Drewry Mays was born around 1795 in North Carolina. This information was extracted mainly from the United State Federal Census and information passed down through the family. He lived mainly in Amherst and Rockbridge Counties of Virginia. As best that I can determine he had two wives Sophia Potter and Elizabeth Gordon (Gordan). There is some limited information in the Rockbridge Courthouse to support the wives.

One of John Drewry Mays' sons George Washington Mays was my grandfather and this is where I will focus most.

As new information becomes available I will add or change this page. If anyone reviewing this has any information/comments, please don't hesitate to contact me at hammond4511@aol.com.
